Company profile
ACTOM Electrical Products is a division of ACTOM (Pty) Ltd group of companies. Formerly ALSTOM South Africa. ACTOM Electrical Products formerly traded under the name Alstom Siyakha and the group re-branded to ACTOM in September 2009.
We are the trading and representation arm of ACTOM Group and other leading brands, employing over 210 people in our twelve branches throughout South Africa.
Shareholding and empowerment
ACTOM has restructured its South African holdings and BEE companies now hold 32% of the equity in ACTOM.
ACTOM is able to comply with the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act (BBBEE) of 2003 and the Department of Trade and Industry’s Codes of Good Practice.
The company has been evaluated by the National Empowerment Rating Agency(NERA) using the final Codes of Good Practice on Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment for large enterprises and has achieved the following:
- BBBEE Contribution Level: 4
- Procurement Recognition Level: 100%

ACTOM Electrical Products is a leading stockist and supplier of electrical products in the Southern African region. The head office is situated in the industrial node of Germiston, Gauteng, with twelve strategically located branches throughout South Africa :
Johannesburg, Pretoria (Tshwane), Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Bloemfontein, Welkom, Steelpoort, Rustenburg and East London (new)
