INHEP ELECTRONICS HOLDINGS (PTY) LTD. was established in 1985. The company was conceived as a manufacturing operation which manufactured products almost exclusively for third parties. Over the past 10 years Inhep has developed and marketed a range of high quality cost effective security solutions and has become the dominant player in the South African security market. Products are sold via Inhep’s own distribution and sales network. Third party distributors are used to cover areas where it is not viable for Inhep to do so directly. An increasing portion of Inhep's sales are export based. To this end we are no longer entirely reliant on our local market or third party manufacturing. This has brought significant stability to the business.
Inhep Electronics Holdings (Pty) Ltd. is a Durban based company which employs approximately 190 staff together with the latest automation equipment at its manufacturing facility. The original share holders of the company are still actively involved in the day to day management of the business which ensures our customers receive prompt, reliable and personalised service and advice to all their requirements.
Product & services
Inhep develops and produces a diverse range of products and has a skill base to provide solutions for most software, digital, analog and RF applications up to 1000 MHz.
The current product range consists of:
• Various security products (Intruder Detection and CCTV)
• Radio communications equipment.
• Some aspect of point of sale equipment.
• Numerous custom products produced for third parties.
The diversity of Inhep’s customer base has provided the company with a degree of stability which is envied by our competitors. Additionally it has been our experience that ideas from diverse applications often have a positive effect on products produced for use in other areas.
With respect to proprietary products, security has become the main focus of development. New products are being added to our product range on a regular basis. Inhep augments its own comprehensive range of products and services by developing partnerships with reputable third party suppliers. This allows Inhep to provide a full spectrum of proprietary security products from alarm equipment, control center hardware and software as well as a comprehensive range of analog and digital CCTV surveillance solutions.
