Company profile

Powertech System Integrators is a growth-oriented business which utilizes engineering specialisation and industry knowledge, together with world-class products, technologies and execution skills, to produce integrated solutions and services for developers, owners and operators of infrastructure.

With a dedicated and fervent team of professionals we aim to pursue opportunities where our applications and services can be differentiated and tailored to bring significant cost, productivity and performance gains, to further the business goals of our customers. Through our operating divisions, we have a very strong showing in the following areas on all performance platforms:

Power Utilities - PTSI is a key role-player in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity to the builders and operators of electrical power systems in a regulated market. Globally, there is drive to upgrade and expand power utilities and infrastructure networks as demand for electricity grows. South Africa is at present upgrading and expanding its infrastructure, with investment from government and other parastatal authorities. Through our wide network of partners, PTSI is thus able to offer a world-class portfolio of solutions and services for the Power Infrastructure industry.

Mining and Minerals - South Africa is a country famous for its abundance of mineral resources, accounting for a significant proportion of world production and reserves, and South African mining companies are key players in the global industry. PTSI is uniquely positioned to enjoy strong relationships with major mining houses, setting the company well for further expansion through the wide range of solutions offered to both the South African and African markets at large.

Commercial and Industrial - Over the past decade, the building and construction industry in South Africa has experienced enormous growth. This buoyancy is expected to continue on the back of a strong.

Transportation and Logistics - Most industries in South Africa face globalisation and transformation challenges but the South African Transport and Logistics industry faces its own peculiarities that impact on the country as a whole. Apart from some transport on the local leg, South Africa’s transport and logistics corporations struggle to be relevant within the international legs of the supply chains. The South African government is investing billions of Rand to upgrade road, rail and ports infrastructure to improve logistics capabilities to compete within a global market. PTSI is ideally equipped to meet specific needs of this industry by striking a balance between technological prowess and value for money for it client base.

Telecommunications - With telecommunications considered a strategic cornerstone for the empowerment of the African people, and the growing interest in telecommunications is apparent. With its great distances, low population densities and lack of logistics, lends itself to investment in mobile technology. PTSI has a variety of solutions and products to assist the telecommunication infrastructure providers to build their backbones.

Water Utilities - In some important respects, the water utility industry is very similar to other sectors of the South African economy. It is subject to, and must continuously adapt to, constantly changing economic, societal, governmental and environmental pressures in order to meet its mission. The water sector is facing an increasingly challenging future. At the same time, opportunities also exist. The key is acknowledgement that the future will require a new approach to the management of water utilities.

Local Government - With over 278 municipalities in South Africa, comprising eight metropolitan, 44 district and 226 local municipalities, it is undeniable that focus on growing local economies and providing infrastructure and services is one key area in the country. PTSI is well-appointed to provide relevant research support as well as differentiated and tailored applications and services to bring significant cost, productivity and performance gains to metros and municipalities across South Africa
