Company profile
Strike Technologies is engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of industrial electronic products with particular emphasis on the power electrical market.
Most of our products are conceived, designed and manufactured in the Republic of South Africa for Southern African markets and conditions. As a result, the company has built an impressive technology development capability in its chosen fields of activity.
Data communication and networking.
Embedded and high-level application software.
In total the R&D team comprise of some 118 man years of direct experience in the field of electronic development, power applications and in the EMC challenges of typical power environments. We use some of the most advanced CAD systems and development tools available in developing and testing our designs.
Manufacturing of our products is carried out in our own factory in Midrand. We have consciously migrated our product designs to surface mount technology and all new products maximise this approach. Thorough testing is carried out, both at sub assembly and final product stage. All testing and calibration is performed by up-to-date automated test equipment. Products are soak-tested and accuracy verified in a temperature cycled environmental chamber before despatch.
Product & services
• Three-phase programmable multifunction energy & demand meters (ENERMAX+)
• Programmable numeric protection relays for Medium & High-Voltage application
• Optimised surge protection for motors (550V to 33kV) as well as dry-type transformers & generators
• Sensitive Earth-fault protection relays. Earth path testers and industrial insulation monitoring systems
• Portable Test equipment for protection relays and systems
Technology is our engine for growth and is intrinsic in our culture. Together, our highly qualified R&D team is skilled in the applicable disciplines of analogue and digital design, microprocessors and digital signal processing.
Technical Support is another aspect crucial to the business, so much so that in 2001 we combined all technical support functions into one activity, to ensure that our customers derive maximum benefit from the use of our products. This customer Support group provides customer training, application seminars, telephonic and face-to-face advice, a factory repair service and even on-site technical support.
Technical Sales & Marketing is a function requiring a thorough understanding of power systems applications and also of the norms, standards and practices of the Power Electrical market. Our S&M team brings a total of 60 man-years of accumulated knowledge and experience to bear in this regard.
