Syntell, (Pty) Limited (Previously Plessey, Tellumat) is one of the leading, high technology, electronic organisations in South Africa and are dedicated to producing locally designed, engineered and manufactured products.
In accordance with this policy, we have access to qualified engineers and technicians within our Technology Centre based in Cape Town. Syntells products and its manufacturing facilities are subject to a very stringent Quality Assurance system that is in accordance with SABS ISO 9001.
Syntell has had an involvement in the public private partnerships and services sector with local authorities over the past 5 years, thereby creating a wealth of experience through the different projects and Customer interaction. Mission: A supplier of road safety, traffic management and revenue collection services and products to local government and utilities in South Africa and selected export markets.

Broad based black empowerment company, Hosken Consolidated Investment (HCI), recently acquired a 55.40% share in Syntell (Pty) Ltd resulting in Syntell now being a truly BEE company with 63.2% BEE ownership. HCI is a major shareholder of Johnnic, Etv, Tsogo Sun and Golden Arrow Bus Service. The major share holder of HCI is SACTWU (Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers Union). Furthermore, coupled to this, Syntell has 68.5% PDI executive management.
